The Royal Navy Physical Training Branch Association (RNPTBA) has a clear objective: to foster and celebrate that very special PT ethos across the whole community of both serving and retired members. Just like any solid family, it aims to look after its people throughout their naval careers and beyond, offering enduring support, advice, social contact and the sheer enjoyment of fellowship among like-minded colleagues.
Our members are naval Physical Training Instructors: a small but indispensable, well-trained team of uniformed professionals devoted to nurturing the fitness and well-being of naval people through physical exercise, sport, recreation and adventurous training. They serve in both front-line seagoing and shore-based roles, worldwide, and contribute enormously the fighting capability, resilience, health and morale of their Service.
What the RNPTBA offers to them, as well as their families and associates, is a lifelong social community, a lasting professional network and a source of practical support, rooted in shared experience and friendship. One of our most valued inputs – aligned with the Royal Navy’s Core Resettlement programme – is advice and mentoring through the often-challenging transition into civilian careers after completing naval service. Another is welfare and bereavement support to families.
The Association is looking for modest commercial sponsorship from organisations or companies that identify with our aims. Such annual sponsorship is welcomed at a range of different levels.
