Thank you to everyone who turned up for our Area Christmas Festive activities on Saturday, 20th December 2025.
We started 1100 at Admiral Jellicoe House for RNPTBA (Portsmouth) Christmas Carols, 1230 Ship & Castle Pub for our Meet up & toast to Absent Friends and finishing at 1500 at the Ship Anson Pub to meet up with fellow PT’s. I personally left the Ship Anson at 1700 leaving a few stragglers to continue dit spinning into the early evening.
Like David Ward (SWPTBA) in a previous post said, it’s been such a sad year with so many good people crossing the bar. A tot of rum toast was made to:-

Also, thank you to the RNPTBA who made a gesture of £200 to buy a Christmas drink. This year’s event was also made more special via a live FaceTime link to the South West PTs Christmas drinks gathering, as it allowed both parties to exchange their Christmas and New Year wishes.
We managed to arrange an RNPTBA Christmas Breakfast for 2026 also to continue Carols with more serving PT’s volunteering to attend. I’m sure we can arrange more social events throughout 2026.
It was also very special to have the Portsmouth, Plymouth and Scotland RNPTBA associations arranging Christmas drinks this year following SWPTBA and Scotland’s yearly meet-ups.
Finally, a personal thank you from me to the RNPTBA for their support. The future certainly looks bright.
